Sump Pumps, Ejector Pumps & Battery Backups

Protect your home from flooding with expert sump pump installation and repair services in Oswego, IL with Aquaduct Plumbing, Heating & Air.

Many homes’ foundations are in the earth, particularly those homes including a basement. If the foundation has cracks in it, groundwater can rise through them during long or heavy rainfall. Without proper drainage, enough water can seep in to cause flooding.

A sump pump protects your home from the intrusion of water. It is installed in a sump pit at the lowest point of the home, which may be the basement or a crawl space. The sump pump remains on standby most of the time. When water starts to collect in the foundation, it activates to redirect the water away from the home.

Aquaduct Plumbing, Heating & Air’s waterproofing experts serve the Fox Valley region with professional installation and repair of high-performing cast-iron sump pump systems. Because different sump pumps are available for different functions and levels of use, we can also help you choose the system that will best serve your home.

Our technicians can inspect an existing sump pump for accurate operation as well.

On average, sump pumps last from 5 to 7 years before needing replacement.

Home-Waterproofing Tips

  • Periodically check your sump pumps
  • Invest in a battery backup
  • Keep gutters clean
  • Seal any cracks in the basement
  • Ensure proper storm drainage

Ejector Pumps

Aquaduct Plumbing specializes in the installation of ejector pumps, which are also important for a house. Where a sump pump defends against water from rain and the ground, an ejector pump lifts sewage and other wastewater up and out of the home and into main sewer lines or the septic field.

An ejector pump is especially necessary when the main sewer lines or the septic field are at a higher level than plumbing fixtures. Draining wastewater relies on gravity to properly flow, so the ejector pump replaces gravity in transporting it out of the plumbing system.

Battery Backups

Sometimes during a heavy rainstorm the power may go out. Without electricity, a sump pump cannot do its duty in keeping water away from your home.

Aquaduct Plumbing provides efficient installation of battery backups that ensure the sump pump continues working regardless of problems with your main power supply.

A battery backup will also switch on if there’s too much water for the main sump pump to handle, which can be common in flood-prone areas.

I had a great experience with Aqueduct. They came by to service my AC unit and were incredibly professional from start to finish. The technician was punctual, explained exactly what was being done, and made sure everything was running efficiently before leaving. It’s a relief to have the system ready for the heat. Highly recommend their services if you want honest work and technical expertise.

We had our water heater go out on Thanksgiving Day. We had a contract with another provider in the area who didn’t have our size water heater in stock and with the storm, no one was available until Monday. I called Aquaduct’s emergency line and received a call back within 5 minutes on a Saturday. After waiting almost two days, they were able to come out within 2 hours and provide a honest quote with breakdown that was easy to understand. We are canceling our contract with the other provider. Very professional and friendly! Highly recommend!!

I have been using Aquaduct plumbing for years now. Jason the Owner is Amazing! Jason always takes the time to answer any questions and always thoroughly explains the work he will be doing. The customer service is also top notch; from the first phone call I make to the office speaking to either Vanessa or Britanny to when Jason and Mike show up at my front door. They all go above and beyond to make calling a plumber less stressful. I highly recommend using this company.
